Step 3 of 7

Upload your bank statements

We need the last 6 months from every bank account and credit card. This is how we calculate your means test, detect preferential payments, and find everything a trustee will look for — automatically.

Must be a digital PDF download from your bank's website — not a photo, not a scan. Log into online banking → Statements → Download PDF. Scanned images won't parse correctly.

PDF files only — up to 12 months, all accounts

Choose files

Bank accounts + credit cards · Chase · BofA · Wells Fargo · Citi · Capital One · all major institutions

Why bank AND credit card statements? The means test uses your 6-month income average from bank statements. Credit card statements show payment history — trustees check for preferential payments (paying one creditor more than others in the 90 days before filing). The SOFA also requires disclosure of all significant transfers and crypto purchases. We read them so you don't have to remember.
Step 4 of 7

Analysing your statements

Reading your transactions to build your means test and surface everything that needs to be disclosed.

Step 5 of 7

Your creditors

List everyone you owe money to. This goes on Schedules D and E/F. Include all debts — credit cards, medical, personal loans, student loans. Do not leave anyone out.

Include every creditor — even debts you want to keep paying (like a car loan). Leaving a creditor off your schedules can result in that debt not being discharged.

Step 6 of 7

Review your disclosures

These items were detected in your bank statements. You must acknowledge each one — they'll be declared correctly in your filing so nothing surprises the trustee.

Omitting these from your filing is a federal crime. Declaring them correctly is not — it's required. Chapter One has pre-filled each one for you.
